Have your say on co-operatives and mutuals in Wales Martin Tiedemann 1st March 2013 Share 0 Tweet Labour’s Government in Wales has set up an independent Co-operative & Mutuals Commission. The Commission was instigated by Edwina Hart AM, Minister for Business, Enterprise, Technology and Science, and is chaired by Professor Andrew Davies, himself a former Labour Assembly Member. Co-operative movement stalwarts including Dame Pauline Green and David Jenkins, Chair of the Welsh Co-operative Centre, are also members of the Commission. The remit of the Commission will be to make recommendations on growing and developing the co-operative and mutual economy in Wales in order to create jobs and wealth. It underlines Welsh Labour’s commitment to co-ops and mutuals and it is now key that it gathers as many good ideas as possible. The Welsh Co-operative Party website has details about how you can have your say.
