Electing the new National Youth Committee Rebecca Mattingly 22nd May 2013 Share Tweet Blog / Young people The election for the National Youth Committee for 2013-2015 is currently underway, with Co-operative Party Youth candidates standing to be elected as representatives in each region. The National Youth Committee is the executive of Co-operative Party Youth. There is a member elected for each of the English regions and one each for Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. In addition the Youth NEC member sits on the committee. Members are responsible for creating and maintaining a vibrant Co-operative Party Youth presence within their region; for organising and promoting events; for driving membership; campaigning for Labour & Co-operative candidates and for forging good relations with other organisations within the Labour and Co-operative movements. Youth members are participating in the Party’s first online ballot to vote for their candidates. The candidates standing in each region are: South East – Ryan W.S. Carter, William Cross, Arran Neathey South West – Kate Gilson London – Dan Carey-Dawes, Amran Hussein, Robbie Scott East of England – Jack Abbott, Liam Preston East Midlands – Roxanne Ellis, Rebecca Wilson West Midlands – Dominic Curran, Danny Sweeney Yorkshire and the Humber – Kat Rose North East – Katie Corrigan North West – Liam O’Rourke, Ashley Simpson Scotland – Hannah Lister Wales – Alexandra Mary Davies, Simon Sardeson-Coe Northern Ireland – Vincent Wooding The results of the election will be announced on 28th May 2013.
