The Co-operative Party is the party of the co-operative movement, and we are committed to building a better future; a society where wealth and power are shared.
So what does that mean? That means giving people a say and a stake in how their high streets operate, giving local communities "first dibs" when vacant shopfronts come up for sale. That means bringing the benefits of energy production back to the communities within which they operate, making community-owned renewable energy the new norm. It means doubling the size of the co-operative sector, because we know co-operative and mutually-owned businesses do better for their workers and for the economy.
It means all of these things and much, much more.
Working in partnership with Labour, the Co-operative Party is a voice for co-operative values and principles from local communities up to the places where decisions are taken and laws are made.
