Co-operative Party members are invited to join this Zoom event to hear from Alison McGovern MP – Member of Parliament for Wirral South and Shadow Sports Minister – and Tom Greatrex – Chair Fulham Supporters Trust & Vice-Chair Football Supporters Association – as we discuss supporting and promoting fan-owned football clubs.
They will examine the recent events around the European Super League and what more needs to be done to give fans and communities a greater say in the way their clubs are run and how. When elected to government, as part of our legislative agenda, Labour & Co-operative politicians will back a Bill to give supporters of football clubs more of a stake in how their local clubs are run, and give fans in the wider cultural and arts sectors a greater say.
