In the past, co-operators were often unable to find willing venues to hire.  So instead they took their meetings into the great outdoors.  Central Midlands are commemorating the Centenary of the founding of the Co-operative Party, by holding a traditional open air meeting and picnic at Walsall Arboretum on Saturday 17 June from 1pm.

…View an exhibition on the Party’s history; listen to speakers highlighting key moments from the past; discuss how co-operative solutions are seen as a very real future alternative…
