This October, the Co-operative Party will return to Glasgow for the first time since 1995 to hold its Annual Party Conference at the Doubletree by Hilton Glasgow Central Hotel on 11-13 October. Co-operation and Glasgow have always been synonymous. From the foundation of the co-operative movement in Robert Owen’s pivotal New Lanark and the establishment of the original Fenwick Weavers in 1769 to the present day.
Registration for delegates is now open. If you would like to attend as a delegate, do contact your regional party council representative or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org
The full program for debate is currently being worked on. It will include debates on policy; Q&A’s with elected representatives from the UK, Scottish and Wales Parliaments and Councillors from across the UK; a series of informative and constructive workshops; examples of best practice from local co-operatives; networking opportunities, with members being able to take part in the The Co-operative Party diversity networks (including BAME, Disability, LGBT+, Women, Youth); a large marketplace area representing the co-operative and trade union movements; a series of fringe meetings, with speakers discussing issues pertinent to the Co-operative Party.
