The Co-operative Party commissioned a report by the New Economics Foundation titled Co-operatives Unleashed: – https://neweconomics.org/2018/07/co-operatives-unleased

Two fundamental questions were addressed

If co-operatives are better businesses that can help create a better economy, society and environment, why have they not thrived in UK?

And why have they thrived elsewhere?”

The report calls for significant expansion of the UK co-operative sector, bringing it closer into line with other countries.

This event will discuss what could this mean for community wealth building and public sector services in Yorkshire

There will be lunch at 12:30 pm: Open space at 1:30 pm: a plenary at 3:30 pm: with the event due to close at 4:30 pm
