Members are invited to join this Zoom event as we mark and honour Windrush Day and recognise the huge impact that Afro-Caribbean culture has on communities across the UK and highlighting the vital importance and contribution of international health and care staff, throughout the ongoing pandemic. Join our guest speakers as they share their personal stories of how the Windrush changed their lives as well as hear more on steps being taken to reverse the recent repatriations. Guest speakers include Kate Osamor MP (Member of Parliament for Edmonton) and Cllr Sonia winifred (Cabinet Member for Equalities and Culture, Lambeth Borough Council). This facilitated event will be followed by a Q&A chaired by Cecile Wright (chair of Co-op Party BAME network).
