The Co-operative Party campaigns for food justice. We have been highlighting community response to food injustice, pushing for local food partnerships and food champions to be appointed in local councils. the Party has also ran campaigns on the take up of healthy start vouchers, their extension and the need for inflationary rises. we have called for the establishment of a right to food and have worked with our Party Chair Jim McMahon to bring food justice on to the floor of the house of commons.
This event will hear from Daniel Zeichner MP – Labour’s frontbench spokesperson – who will inform members as to Labour’s response to the Strategy and the needs to met within it as well as reaction from Sustain’s CEO Kath Dalmeny about her organisations vital work in food justice and her views on the strategy.
