SUMMARY:(dis)Ability Network - THE BIG CONVERSATION: Social Care
DESCRIPTION:Co-operative Party (dis)Ability Network\nTHE BIG CONVERSATION: Social Care\nMonday (26th April 2021) 18.30 – 20.00 \nThe Co-operative Party (dis)Ability Network invites all it’s members to be part of this year’s Social Policy consultation process.  As part of this\, we invite you to join us at the second of our BIG CONVERSATIONS discussing the policies chosen this year for consultation by Co-op Party members. \nThis week’s zoom will take the form of a facilitated discussion on Social Care.  The majority of those who receive and pay for social care are not involved in the design of the Social Care services that are provided and who are the care givers. What is social care? Why do we have to pay for social care services when individuals need personal care? How can the values and principals of co-operation help the development of individual care services? \nFollowing this session the (dis)Ability Network Steering Committee will write a report that records the aspirations\, needs and wants of disabled people to be included in the social policy documents to be debated at the 2021 Co-operative Party National Conference \nWe look forward to seeing you soon! \nPlease note: This event is open to those Co-op Party members who self-identify as disabled.
