The NEC has agreed to delay the ballot for the Co-operative Party NEC 2020-23 election.

This follows concerns that under the current coronavirus restrictions our election administrators might not be able to dispatch or count the votes of those members who don’t have access to the internet and need a postal ballot.

We would not want any of our members to be excluded from voting.

Ballot papers for the 11 national and regional NEC members and one Youth representative will now go out on 10 August.

The closing date for the ballot will be 7 September.

The ballot will be online, with postal votes only for those members who do not have an email address on our database.

From next week, you will be able to see the profiles of the candidates in a link in the Members Hub.

If you have any questions about the election, please contact Karen Wilkie.
