Training for Officers, Candidates and Elected Representatives

The Co-operative Party is committed to ensuring that we provide a safe and welcoming place for all members, free from harassment, abuse or discrimination of any kind.

As part of this commitment we launched a programme of free training earlier this year for local officers, elected representatives and candidates. Modules include Equality and Diversity, Unconscious bias, Sexual Harassment and Data Protection.

Each course takes under an hour, and you can start and complete any of them in your own time. You will also receive a certificate for each one you complete.

All courses are available now. To sign up click this link and enter your email address and Co-operative Party membership number on the form. If you don’t know your membership number please contact membership@party.coop

You will also be aware that all officers or representatives who use the Party’s data (e.g. accessing membership lists or contacting members) must ensure that they are familiar with data protection requirements and our policies and processes for keeping data secure.

As well as our Data Protection Guidance, you can also sign-up for online training on the new platform that gives more detailed information on GDPR should you require it.
