Ask your MSPs to stand up for #FairTax

On Thursday 8th September, Co-operative MSP Rhoda Grant will be leading a debate in the Scottish Parliament on Fair Tax.

The Fair Tax Mark scheme encourages businesses to lead the way on tax transparency and proudly pay their fair share of tax. Scotland and Scottish businesses could play a pioneering role in promoting Fair Tax, and that's why we want as many MSPs as possible to attend the debate.

I am writing to you as one of your constituents to show my support for Fair Tax. In the midst of this cost-of-living crisis, the tax behaviour of companies is important. I believe that companies should pay their way, and that there should be no public money for tax avoiders. As you know, Rhoda Grant MSP has secured a Members’ Business Debate on Fair Tax on Thursday 8 September at 12.45pm. As your constituent, I would like you to attend this debate and show your support for Fair Tax. I would also like you to back the calls in the debate motion for the UK Government, Scottish Government, and local government to take the tax behaviour of companies into account within public procurement processes.
