Our BAME Co-operators Committee continue to play a key part in our party - using their platform to raise the issues that matter to the BAME community and representing BAME people from the nation/region they have been elected from. As a member of the Committee you'l have the opportunity to contribute to that work.
Our BAME Co-operators are already leading the way by prioritising work that encourages more BAME people to become active members of the Co-operative Party, supporting the promotion of more BAME candidates internally in the Co-operative Party and for public office at all levels and facilitating engagement between BAME people in all parts of the co-operative movement to support appropriate practical and policy responses to the issues that matter to BAME communities
If elected, you'll also have the opportunity to get involved in campaigns as well as support and host events - our Co-operative Party staff team will be on hand to support that work.
