With our railways once again in crisis, it's clear that privatisation has failed – leaving customers, employees and taxpayers to foot the bill.
That is why we are calling for our railways and rail infrastructure to be brought back into public ownership.
Decisions about our railways shouldn't be taken by private shareholders or by politicians: they should be made by the workers and customers that rely on them every day.
So it’s time for a new democratic model of public ownership, where passengers, employees and local communities have a say in how the the railways are run and operated.
