Annual Conference is the Co-operative Party’s annual showcase of co-operative politics.

Keynote speeches: hear from a series of leading Labour & Co‑operative keynote speakers including Keir Starmer MP and Anneliese Dodds MP as well as players from across the co‑operative and socialist movements.

Interactive debates: take part in interactive Policy discussions and a Panel debates.

Owning the Future Sessions : there’ll be a number of participatory sessions held throughout the week, in association with of partner organisations, providing more information and support for the Party’s ongoing campaigning programme.

Member-led Networks: sessions are being held by our BAME, (Dis)Ability, LGBT+, Youth and Women’s Network on themes that really matter to these self-defining connected groups in this period of uncertainty.

Social: there’ll be plenty of time for socialising and networking too – with an online quiz and the chance to catch up with like-minded co-operators via an interactive ‘chat’ function.  Plus options to view the Conference Live stream at a socially-distanced 'Watch' party organised by your local branch or Party Council.

Together, it adds up to the largest political online gathering of the year for the UK co‑operative movement.

Here's a taste of what we've got planned...

On Saturday 10th and Sunday 11th October, each day we will be running a programme of events including exciting keynote speakers, panel discussions and interactive policy debates were you can contribute to our Party policy.

On Saturday afternoon, we will host our Conference Quiz and Achievement Awards. You can either take part by yourself at home or get together in a group with some local fellow minded co-operators (following social distancing guidelines). This is a great way to connect with members across the UK and prizes will be awarded to the most well informed co-operators!

From Monday 12th to Friday 16th October, we will be running lunchtime and evening workshops and fringes featuring speakers from across our movement. Many of these will be hosted by our diversity networks, including our BAME, (Dis)ability, Women, LGBTQ+ and Youth networks.

On the morning of Saturday 17th, we'll be holding our official Annual General Meeting (AGM). The Co-operative Party is, you've guessed it, a co-op! And that means our members need to meet to vote on crucial business for the year ahead. Like the rest of conference, our AGM will be held online, but for legal reasons it will be open to members only.

Closer to the event, we will contact all Co-operative Party members who have registered to take part in the conference and provide you with a specific ID that you will need to take part in the AGM.

Then, we'll be capping off conference in the afternoon with a discussion from our LGBTQ+ network on how vital LGBTQ+ spaces are more than just a trip to the pub!
