Taking place in central Leeds on Saturday 21st June, we are delighted to be joined by Jim McMahon MP, our Party Chair and Minister of State (Housing, Communities and Local Government) as well as a series of inspirational community activists and speakers. More details on the programme will follow.
There are now the greatest number of Labour & Co-operative councillors than ever before in local authorities across the UK and this is the chance to meet some of these fellow co-operative councillors, hear great examples of successful co-operative solutions from the UK and take part in workshops as we demonstrate best practice, through collaboration and shared knowledge. We will give you the tools you need to implement cohesive strategies in own community and achieve the priorities outlined in your manifesto, while remaining adaptable to changing political circumstances and economic conditions.
The event is open to all new and experienced Councillors, as well as those interested in local government. The conference costs just £12 and includes lunch (vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free catered for).
Please note: the venue is centrally located in Leeds, approx 10 mins walk from Leeds train station. Exact venue information will be provided 24-hours in advance.
