In advance of next May’s local elections, the Co-operative Party is launching a brand new Build Your Own Co-operative Manifesto tool. Whether you are at the start of your co-operative development journey or have significant co-operative policies in place – this tool should have something for every councillor and every council.
If you plan to stand as Labour and Co-operative next May, do join us on Zoom on Wednesday 20th November at 6pm as we launch this interactive tool enabling you to create your own co-operative policy agenda, which can be included in your local Labour Party Manifesto for the upcoming local elections.
The tool includes policy proposals for a range of topics, including housing, community energy, mutual financial services, co-op development, transport, community owned assets, food justice, and more.
Speakers include Labour & Co-operative activists Cllr Vince Maple (Leader, Medway Council); Cllr Kate Ewert (Leader, Cornwall Labour Group) and Cllr Gareth Dowling (Dept Leader, West Lancs Borough Council and Co-operative Party Regional Organiser for the North West, Yorkshire & the Humber, and Northern Ireland).
