We will hear from Roser Hernandez, Deputy Director General of Social Economy and Cooperatives of the Generalitat de Catalunya, responsible for overall delivery of co-operative growth across the region, and Jordi Picas Vila, the Innovation director at Suara Cooperative, one of the largest European social care co-operatives.
The audience will hear how Catalonia has achieved the successful growth of a large co-operative and social economy, through business support, procurement and funding.
The audience will learn about how Suara’s worker-owned co-operative model is delivering industry leading social care services to people across the City of Barcelona and Catalonia.
Baroness Glenys Thornton will join our speakers, discussing her experience in developing the co-operative and social economy in the UK and why this agenda is so important to achieving the Government’s key missions.
