This year is the centenary of the formation of the Co-operative Party in 1917. Join us at a special exhibition on the history of the Co-operative Party and find out why the Party was set up initially; who our key co-operators were and what they did; our relationship with the co-operative retail societies and the co-operative movement; the effects of the Party on the political landscape through to the present day as well as our current policy proposals and why the Co-operative Party still remains important and relevant.
John Boyle, Party Support Officer of the Co-operative Party, will also talk about the Party’s plans to commemorate its Centenary as well as details of the special Centenary Conference to be held in London later this year.
It’s an exciting time for the Co-operative Party particularly for the Gloucester, Forest of Dean and Tewkesbury Branch where there are 3 Labour and Co-operative candidates standing in the County Council elections.
We look forward to seeing you there at Roots Coffee Community. Bring friends and family.
