Following the recent elections on 4 May, people from across England cast their vote for co-operation and we are delighted that the Co-operative Party now have the highest number of Co-operative Councillors in our Party’s 106 year history. Over 1500 Labour & Co-operative councillors are in local government across the UK.

From fighting for food justice to promoting community-owned green energy, our new Councillors are ready to get to work and put the big ideas of our movement into practice. They will share more about why being Labour & Co-operative is important to them, why it makes a real difference to local communities they serve as well hear about aspirations and plans to deliver that co-operative agenda.

Speakers include Cllr Claire Douglas – Leader Elect York City Council, Damien Greenhalgh – Deputy Leader High Peak Council and Cllr Vince Maple – Leader Medway Council.  Chaired by Cllr Abigail Katung – Leeds City Councillor and Co-operative Party NEC representative for Yorkshire & Humber.
