As the Party continues its policy consultations with members by digital organising, hear from Graham Mitchell on the steps being taken to increase access to broadband in rural communities and tackle digital exclusion – more pertinent than ever – in this uncertain time of social distancing.
Graham is a strong advocate for cooperative solutions that ensure internet access is affordable and accessible. He is a member of several digital co-ops including Independent Networks Cooperative Association (INCA) – the trade association for the Altnets in the UK (the third competitive force in the UK’s broadband infrastructure landscape, building and operating future-proof gigabit fibre and wireless networks) and the Digital Life Collective – an innovative and international co-operative focussed on enabling ‘Tech We Trust’ by bringing together diverse experts, activists, thinkers and doers to create a decentralised internet.
This will be followed by a online Q&A with Graham.
