Join us in Taunton on Saturday 6 June for an energetic and forward-thinking day where co-operators, activists and leaders come together to celebrate progress, share ideas and plan the future of Community Britain.

If you haven’t attended one of our events before, this is a great first event to join — whether you’re one of our newer members, a long standing member or simply interested in our work.

Programme

• Community Britain in action: Hear from speakers including Noah Law MP and Clare Moody, Police & Crime Commissioner (Avon & Somerset), as we explore powerful stories of how co-operative priorities are being delivered in government and making a real difference in communities across the UK.
• Co-operative and Rural Affairs – Dive into the latest thinking in the Building Resilience – The Case for Co-operative Agriculture report, exploring how co-operation can strengthen food systems, farmers and local economies with speakers including Joe Joseph.
• Co-operation in Local Government – find out more on the ongoing work of our many councillors across the region with Cllr Tom Renhard, Cllr Jim Robbins and Cllr Lucy Findlay.
• Hear what Co-op Group is doing to support communities local Somerset, BANES & Mendips Co-op Group member activator Eve Warburton
• Policy Consultation 2026 Help shape future policy on Local Government and International Development. Your voice will help guide the next wave of co-operative priorities

A recent member survey highlighted a clear desire for more local activity — and this event has been designed with that in mind. Working with local Party Council officers, we’ve built a member-led programme that reflects what matters most to you and your region.
