Councillor Matthew Brown, Leader of Preston Council, and pioneer in the UK of Community Wealth Building will be speaking about his approach to regeneration on Monday 22 July a Moxley Peoples Centre, 3 Queens Street, Moxley, WS10 8TA. The event starts at 6pm.
Community Wealth Building brings together local anchor institutions and directs their spending power into the local economy and places control and benefits into the hands of local people – it’s being used in Preston to startling effect.
Organised in a partnership between Walsall Labour Group and the Co-operative Party, the evening is a must-attend for all those interested in co-operative approaches to regeneration and tackling poverty.
