Fairtrade is about social, economic and environmental justice. For two weeks each year, thousands of individuals, organisations and groups across the UK come together to highlight Fairtrade Fortnight, by examining how – in choosing Fairtrade – we can help make a difference to farmers all over the world.
Back in 1998, the Co-op was the first supermarket to stock Fairtrade in all it’s stores, and they’ve been proud to support Fairtrade ever since.
This week, in Co-operation Live, we are delighted to welcome Orla Waters (she/her) – Policy Development & Planning Manager at The Co-op – as she highlight why their commitment to Fair Trade and the Fair Trade Mark is just as important today.
