All Co-operative Party members are invited to join with our Muslim members in this online event to celebrate Iftar and the ritual breaking of the daily Ramadan fast.
This will be our 2nd such event and is a good chance for members celebrating Ramadan and those interested to get together online and hear from a series of speakers including the Co-op Party’s General Secretary Joe Fortune, Tulip Siddiq MP – Shadow Economic Secretary to the Treasury – and Cllr Mete Coban – Hackney Council, as they speak on a personal basis about what Ramadan means to their families, its importance, the breaking of the fast and their approach to politics.
All families are welcome to take part in this Zoom event from 6pm onwards. It will last around 45minutes and finish promptly as sunset is due at 8.15.
