Our financial sector needs attention now as there is a lack of choice and diversity with high street banks are reluctant to lend to SMEs. However, alternatives do exist – members are invited to dial into this Zoom call and hear from representatives of credit unions and community development finance institutions (CDFIs) who provide accessible and affordable banking, and building societies which exist to provide a service for their members rather than create wealth for external shareholders.
