The Scottish Labour Party is currently in the process of electing a new leader, and as an affiliate, the Scottish Co-operative Party is eligible to make a nomination in support of one of the two candidates.
Before making such a nomination, the Executive Committee of the Scottish Co-operative Party is balloting its members on which candidate the Party should support, as well as holding a hustings event in which members will have the opportunity to hear from both candidates.
The event will take place on Saturday 7th October at 1pm in the Renfield St Stephen’s Centre, 260 Bath Street, Glasgow, G2 4JP.
Refreshments will be available from 12.30pm. Both Anas Sarwar MSP and Richard Leonard MSP will be in attendance.
