Marking South Asian Heritage Month

Join us for what will be an enjoyable and inspiring evening as we come together for South Asian Heritage Month

The Co-operative Party Black, Asian, Minority (BAME) Network invites you to join us for a special free event on 18th July 2023 from 5pm to 7pm in Committee Room 8, Portcullis House (1 Victoria Embankment, 1 SW1A 2JR, London, SW1A 2JR), to mark South Asian Heritage Month.

The month recognises the contributions that people of South Asian descent make to our society, and is a chance to celebrate the legacy of the end of Empire, in the weeks leading up to the Independence Days of Pakistan and India. We will be joined by speakers sharing what South Asian Heritage means to them, as co-operators and political activists. Come hear from Co-operative Party BAME Network members, Local Councillors, GLA Members, and MPs and many more.

This event is now full.

PLEASE NOTE:

  • The event is free to attend. Places are limited to 65 attendees due to room capacity.  Do note, you are required to go through airport-style security when attending an event at Portcullis House.  Food & drink are regrettably not allowed in the Committee room.
  • Photography and filming will be taking place during the event. If you do not wish to be included in this please do let us know either in advance or on the day.

Any questions please just email us at bame@members.party.coop

We do have an event waitlist, if you want to register your interest in attending here. We will be able to advise on Tuesday morning whether or not there is space.
