Dear Member,
Fellow co-operator – I am writing to invite you along to our Welsh Labour and Co-operative Councillor and Candidate Information Session.
Whether you are a sitting councillor, a first time candidate or still just thinking about putting your name forward to stand for election in May, we want to let you know about standing as a Labour and Co-operative candidate.
Tuesday 21 September 6.30pm-7.30pm
The zoom event will only be for an hour where we will hear briefly from senior Wales co-operators including Baroness Debbie Wilcox and Wales Co-op Council Rep & NEC Member Mary Wimbury about why we need co-operation at every level of government.
Party officers Huw Lewis (Wales Organiser) and Gareth Dowling (local government support) will also be on hand to talk about the practical bits including how to apply and overcoming issues with ballot descriptions. Candidates and potential candidates will have the opportunity to ask any questions.
Please register in advance using this link: https://us02web.zoom.us/meeting/register/tZAkdeirqzwoHtMTreZ-_2HPWcRSfr-SH2JR
We look forward to seeing you on the 21st.
In co-operation, Joe
Joe Fortune, General Secretary
