We’ll be supporting Co-operative colleagues and candidates as they face an important set of local elections this May. Sheffield has a lot of great Co-operative councillors, and we’re keen for them to keep their seats and hopefully add some new co-operators into the mix!
This Regional Campaign Day will look a little different to previous iterations. As part of our Community Britain campaign, the day will include several sessions on how to challenge right-wing rhetoric on the doorstep and how to talk about Co-operative campaigns to constituents.
10-11am: Arrival, refreshments provided, and our first training session on ‘Building Community Britain’. 11-12.30: First Canvassing session with special guests 12.30-1: Lunch (provided – please email any specific dietary requirements) 1-1.45: Training session – What does the ‘and Co-operative‘ mean? 2-3.30: Second canvassing session with special guest
The venue and canvassing session locations will be released to those who RSVP 24 hours before the start of the session. The venue is close to several public transport options and approx. 15 minutes from Sheffield station by public transport or car.
We would love to see as many Co-operators (and friends!) from across Yorkshire and the Humber represented at the campaign day. Please RSVP if you are able to make it!
