Although there is still uncertainty about what this year will look like, there is one thing we know for sure: over the next 12 months, we will be given the opportunity to elect a Labour and Co-operative government. If we are to build a fairer society, then getting the next year right is absolutely crucial. In light of this, we are launching the Co-operative Party’s election campaign sooner rather than later. We will be holding our biggest ever national and regional events over the next few months, and we need you there.
In Wales, we will be kicking off with a Co-op Campaign Launch event in Cardiff on Saturday 10th February from 10am-1pm as we get together to campaign for local Labour & Co-operative Parliamentary Candidate Jackie Jones, who is standing for election in Ceredigion Preseli.
Our Wales Campaign Launch is your chance to get together with other co-operators as we get together for a group phonebank from the Unite offices in Cardiff and speak to voters in Ceredigion Preseli. You can also hear from some fantastic Co-op speakers and meet members from Wales. Don’t worry if you’re brand new or need a refresher: we will provide in-person training on how to effectively phonebank, so you can help us in the vital year ahead. We’ll be joined by fantastic guests Huw Irranca-Davies MS and Stephen Doughty MP.
