Dr Heather Peto will be speaking to us about her experiences of running for Parliament at the 2017 General Election in Rutland and Melton.  Heather is a member of the Nottingham Co-operative Party branch and is the National Trans Officer for LGBT Labour. She tweets at @heatherisone.

We are in the process of arranging other speakers on their experience of standing in local elections. Watch this space!

There will also be an opportunity to help set the ‘scene’ for the groups’ work into the future.  We will also be discussing how we can support elected LGBT+ Co-operative Councillors.

After party will be at the quirky local LGBT+ pub – The Apple Tree

Watch this space for more information!  Keep up with us on Facebook!

The event is free and is sponsored by the Co-operative Party Activity Fund.
