Build a future for our communities that’s bottom up, not trickle down.
In uncertain times, if anything’s clear, it’s that trickle-down economics is dead, and that people are hungry for something new. What if the alternative was bottom up?
Anna Birley, the Co-operative Party’s Policy Officer, will talk about the Community Wealth Building project as an alternative by using co-operatives to create local economic growth and making the most of the people, talent, skills and ideas that already exist in every community.
She will also discuss the Preston Model and why Council procurement of this nature actually works whilst generating growth in local communities.
The meeting is open to Co-operative Party and Labour Party members and you do not need to be a member of the Richmond and Kingston branch!
