  • Dame Pauline Green, former President of the International Co-operatives Alliance and Co-operatives UK, and Labour & Co-operative MEP 1989 – 1999.
  • Susanne Westhausen, Director of Kooperationen, a national co-operative development agency in Denmark. Vice President of Cooperatives Europe, a Director of the International Co-operative Alliance, who also sits on their global Gender Equality Committee.
  • Ria Bernard (chair), Co-operative Party Women’s Network co-ordinator & London Co-operative Party Secretary

Co-operatives have successfully empowered women to shape their own lives and communities across the developed and developing world. Through considering the success of co-operatives internationally, we hope to facilitate ideas that we can take forward and apply to the many challenges facing Britain domestically and the specific role that women have and should play in this.
