There are Co-operative Party members standing as Labour candidates in every region and nation of Britain, learn what we are doing to to advance co-operation at an EU level.

Since the move to regional list elections for the European Parliament the Co-operative Party hasn’t stood ‘official’ candidates in these elections.  That said, there is so much that can be done, and has been done, to advance co-operation at an EU level and we would like to work more closely with Labour MEPs if Brexit continues to be delayed and the MEPs take up their seats.

The good news is there are Co-operative Party members standing as Labour candidates in every region and nation of Britain, and we have reached out to them individually to explore whether they would like to have the ‘endorsement’ of the Co-op Party.

This will not come with resources, but it will enable us to highlight co-operators who are standing for election; and put us on a more proactive footing to work with MEPs that are elected who share our values.

We will be putting out more information about those co-operators that are standing shortly.
