January already gone, so let’s look at February, March and April?

As always the Rule Book, is very useful, you can find it on our website, https://party.coop/members/rule-book/

Some of you will still have your branch or Party Council AGM to hold, let us know when it is, and if you need any help or materials?

Any guidance contact j.boyle@party.coop

Campaigns: – Could your next meeting discuss one of the Party’s current campaigns? Visit https://party.coop/campaign/food-justice/ to get the latest on our Food Justice Campaign. Or consider our Modern Slavery Campaign perhaps.

Members will have been informed of the Labour Leadership Hustings with the Co-op Party on Sunday 16th February. For those who cannot attend there will be a live stream of the hustings ask your members to visit https://party.coop/hustings_stream to register, then we will contact them on how to view.

13th February to 15th March you could hold a meeting for the endorsement of candidates for the NEC by your PC’s and Branches. Why not make it a Policy preview meeting too, reminding members of the two Policy areas to be covered in 2020? Visit https://party.coop/briefing/policy-process-2020-information-for-officers/ for details of our two policy areas for 2020

The two areas are Connecting Communities: From buses to broadband; and Corporate Governance: Making businesses work for the common good.

Can you hold a Fairtrade Fortnight event during the two weeks of 24th Feb to 9th March? Its a seriously good way of highlighting the Co-operative Difference. Have a look at the Fairtrade Briefing https://party.coop/briefing/fairtrade-fortnight-2020-february-24th-march-8th/
