Here are a few final notes for Officers to help ensure that your delegates make the most of a packed and exiting weekend Conference Papers All Conference attendees should by have now have received their conference credentials and papers by post – contact Shane Brogan straight away if not. Shane BroganMembership Manager Papers can also be downloaded below Guide to Conference 2018Guide to Unleashed: 2018 Co-operative Party Conference, including details of programme and fringes Delegate Handbook 2018Handbook for delegates to 2018 Co-operative Party Conference, with details of motions, policy debates, rule changes and CAC elections Delegates will receive a further set of printed papers when they arrive. This includes voting papers, so it is crucial that they remember to register at the welcome desk upon arrival. Accomodation and dietary requirements Please make sure that your delegates know where they are staying, especially if their accommodation has not been booked centrally. If you booked their accommodation through the Party, their credentials letter will tell them which hotel they are staying in. Issy OozeerallyEvents Officer First-time delegates There are several opportunities for delegates to learn how conference works (new delegate training – Saturday morning) and to meet the NEC and others from their region/nation/society (Friday evening) Conference programme ‘Unleashed’ session Delegates are encouraged to pre-submit their ideas for the Unleashed: Ideas to double the size of the UK’s cooperative sector session of conference on Saturday morning. Submit an idea Policy debates Attendees are also encouraged to take part in policy debates, and Policy Officer Anna Birley will be on hand if you or any member of your delegation would appreciate advice or assistance in speaking from the Conference platform.
