Registration for delegates is now open. Delegates will play a big role in this year’s Conference and so we are asking Party Councils to send at least one delegate for every fifty members you have, or one per branch (whichever is higher). If you think you won’t be able to do this for financial reasons or if we can help you find delegates please let us know. Again Party Councils are asked to make sure that their delegations are balanced, and a bursary scheme is in place to support the costs of sending delegates aged 30 or under. About Conference Conference will be held over three days this year, to give more space for marking the centenary as well as giving delegates extra time to debate and meet other co-operators from around the country. Conference begins on the afternoon of Friday 13 October with the formal start and the AGM in Methodist Central Hall, the venue where the Party was founded in 1917. At the end of the day we will unveil the Party’s Centenary Banner and lead delegates onto Parliament Square. On Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 October, Conference will move to the nearby Grange Hotel at Tower Bridge for a great line-up of keynote speakers and panels, debates on our policy process and campaigns, and our special programme of fringes, workshops and training. Delegate Registration The Delegate rate for this year is £185 (£100 for youth delegates). This pass gets your delegates access to all three days of Conference, including lunch and refreshments. We’ve also replaced the Conference Dinner with a special party on Saturday evening and your delegate pass will include a ticket to this event. Accommodation We can again book hotel accommodation for your delegates as part of your ticket. There are two options this year based on first come first served: • £113 per night at Travelodge Tower Bridge (opposite the Conference Hotel); • £149 per night at Grange Hotel.
