Community Britain: UK Regional Conferences 2026

Throughout the summer of 2026, the Co-operative Party is hosting a series of of regional conferences across the UK, bringing together people, places and perspectives from within each local area.

These regional events are designed to create space to hear directly from our local elected representatives and partner organisations as they share the lived experiences and stories of local communities – insights that are essential to shaping the Co-operative Party’s solutions to make meaningful change happen.  By attending, members will be able to hear more about the Party’s Community Britain campaign as we showcase local community-based examples of best practise; promote co-operative solutions that address local government issues; contribute to policy discussions rooted in the realities of each region; and hear directly from those who live and represent us locally.

We will be working closely with local organisers to develop a programme that is both useful and valuable for the event. Our aim is to create a programme that encourages members, as well as those interested in our work, to take part by connecting with others and engaging in our shared commitment to understanding the Co-operative Party’s aims and objectives, and how we are working together to strengthen our local communities.
To support the delivery of this event, we are seeking sponsorship from each Party Council. This will help keep the cost of attendance for members low and ideally cover the cost of post-event networking drinks.  Party Councils may also wish to support members who have a longer journey from further parts of each region, with assistance with travel costs.
Proposed dates for these events are as follows
  • Sat 27 June – South West
  • tbc – London

(We don’t expect it to be an issue, but please do let me know as soon as possible if you’re aware of any clashes with local Labour Party events)

Venue are still to be confirmed but Head Office will work with regional Party Council Officers to identify suitable locations.  More info will follow by email.
